It can be very daunting to know where to start when adopting a plant-based diet. I begun 2 years ago simply switching out cow’s milk for soya milk when I ordered coffees at university, as well as stocking soya milk in my own house.
I choose soya as my go-to everyday plant milk, as it is most desirable in terms of its protein:carboyhdrate:fat ratio when compared to human breast milk – so ideally we want to match that as best we can. However, I also love oat, cashew & hazelnut for their taste! The brands Alpro and Oatly are easily accessible and delicious. Plus don’t curdle in hot drinks. Many have also cited oat milk as the best to try in tea.
